"The KFCC has banned the actress in the wake of baseless accusations that she charged against filmmakers", its President Basant Kumar Patil said PTI.

30 year-old Ramya, who's performed in many of chartbusters, had announced her verdict to quit the film industry following the rift with A. Ganesh who she claimed owed Rs ten lakh to her.

When approached, Ramya told the ban would "not make any difference" to her as she has already decided to bid adieu to the industry.

Ramaya, who's also acted in a number of Tamil and Telugu films, had rejected to take part in promotional programmes of Ganesh's movie Dandam Dashagunam.

Winner of the 2006 Film Fare award for best actress (Kannada) on her character in Thananam, Ramya had said certain remarks made by Ganesh had "tarnished" her image among the supporters.

But Patil accused the "false allegations" made by the celebrity against famous Kannada filmmakers, including Rajendra Singh Babu, had "tarnished" their image.

On Kannada film star Ambareesh who sought to mediate on behalf of Ramya, Patil said the experienced actor was "unaware of the actual issue".

President of the Producers' Association K C N Chandru says the producers too had decided "not to cooperate with Ramya in future as her behavior wasn't in good taste".
